About La La Brooks: La La Brooks’ impressive achievements place her among the legends of rock and roll history. As the lead singer of the 1960s group The Crystals, she lent her voice to hits that Rolling Stone Magazine recognized as two of the “500 Greatest Songs of All Time” — “Then He Kissed Me” and “Da Doo Ron Ron.” The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has honored “Da Doo Ron Ron” as one of the defining songs that shaped the genre.
